Faith & Trust; Limitless Power

"Faith is maintaining belief and having hope in a particular person or thing. Trust is what keeps one in fearless, persistent pursuit of what/who their faith is placed in." - Emily Ann Bachand
Clark Kent: A boy with non-existent, unrealistic physical strength. The abilities that he possesses are ones that most individuals have yearned to be blessed with a minimal of one time during their existence. He is a comic book hero that has evolved into a man of which multiple young boys and girls aspire to resemble.
“Since it is so likely that (children) will meet cruel enemies, let them at least have heard of brave knights and heroic courage. Otherwise you are making their destiny not brighter but darker.” ― C.S. Lewis
His tale of journeying to become what he is destined to is rarely highlighted. Smallville has been a consistent TV show that quenches my at-home-entertainment craving. It magnifies the teenage years of Clark as he merges into an adult- his peregrination to manhood and heroism. This super-hero-to-be has powers that manifest during his juvenile years. He occasionally experiences barmy situations and trudges through trials that are purposefully designated towards helping him learn how to tame the wild abilities that lurk within.
Ignited curiosity- pondering my attraction to this show became an active reoccurring self inquiry. Despite the random spurts of mediocre scenes throughout the series, the themes interwoven in the majority of episodes is enticing.
"The only person who's responsible for achieving your destiny is you."
"Sometimes it's better to risk everything than to hold on to nothing."
"When you believe in someone it's not just for a minute, or for now, but forever."
"Sometimes the greatest sacrifice a person can make is to give up what they hold most dear."
Humans have a confined mindset. Individuals cannot fathom the power that they withhold. People become too cautious and mature into fearful dreamers. Original abilities that they have become trapped. Folks may believe that they are able to accomplish a task (publicly speak, have a discussion with a certain person, etc...), but lack trust in their aptitude to successfully achieve what they are determined to.
"Strive to touch the moon. If you can't reach it, you'll at least land in the stars....or hit a lamp post. Hey! At least you're off the ground!" -My parents teaching about diligently pursuing our (my brothers, sister and I) dreams.
This is when the Sword of Truth is whipped out. It is with the mighty Lord that a single being can crush any army, scale any wall, and draw a bronze bow. He enables each treasured child to be as sure-footed as a deer, and discover abiding refuge under his expanding wings. Faith the size of a mustard seed is able to move mountains. Incomprehensible doses of mirth are graciously planted during the most destitute droughts of sorrow. Peace is unraveled in incessant measurements during stressful moments. Comfort surpassing any experienced in this world is gifted.
“If we find ourselves with a desire that nothing in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that we were made for another world.” ― C.S. Lewis
“The more we let God take us over, the more truly ourselves we become - because He made us. He invented us. He invented all the different people that you and I were intended to be. . .It is when I turn to Christ, when I give up myself to His personality, that I first begin to have a real personality of my own.” ― C.S. Lewis
Clark ceases to fly until the series finale. Recognizing truth, refusing to compromise his values, and assimilating crucial information allowed him to reap a rewarding/beneficial harvest. The difficulties that he dreadfully encountered; the influential mentors, friends and family were participating potters who molded him into the super man that he'd strived to become since his arrival to earth.
Superman saves lives. Christians are warriors who battle in redirecting the worlds gaze to the life source. We are able! In the Lord alone, our faith is placed. How often is His enduring, strengthening, abundantly satisfying presence trusted in, though? Through him, folks are equipped to conquer any evoking challenge. Trust sparks motivation to move forward. In whom/what do you trust?!...

"I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else." -C. S. Lewis
“If we let ourselves, we shall always be waiting for some distraction or other to end before we can really get down to our work. The only people who achieve much are those who want knowledge so badly that they seek it while the conditions are still unfavorable. Favorable conditions never come.” ― C.S. Lewis
“Courage is not simply one of the virtues but the form of every virtue at the testing point, which means at the point of highest reality. ” ― C.S. Lewis
“The great thing, if one can, is to stop regarding all the unpleasant things as interruptions of one's 'own,' or 'real' life. The truth is of course that what one calls the interruptions are precisely one's real life -- the life God is sending one day by day.” ― C.S. Lewis
"Be sure you put your feet in the right place, then stand firm."- Abraham Lincoln
“For you will certainly carry out God's purpose, however you act, but it makes a difference to you whether you serve like Judas or like John.” ― C.S. Lewis
